Daniel Denisoff Obituary

Denisoff, Daniel N. Sr. WILMINGTON, N.C. Daniel N. Denisoff Sr., 72, humble and kind gentle man who loved the Lord, died Friday, November 23, 2007 in Wilmington. Dan is survived by his loving and wonderful wife, Gloria; his two sons, Dan Jr. and Michael; his granddaughter, Haley; his special niece, Christine Honicki, and a number of nieces and nephews, along with wonderful in-laws from the Capobianco family. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents Nellie and Samuel; his brothers, Ed, Sam, Alex; and his sisters, Dorothy and Lorraine. Dan grew up and lived in Schenectady, N.Y. for most of his life. In 1995, he moved to Wilmington, N.C. Dan always put his family first and was an amazing husband, father and grandad. He was a humble man of few words but of great strength, integrity and dignity. He served as a capital police officer in Albany, N.Y. for 28 years and then as a student aid for a special needs student where he continued to make a positive impact on the world. He was always active in his church. He will be sorely missed, as he was such a light in this world. But we know his reward is great because of the life he lived. I am sorry to hear of Dan's passing. He certainly was a kind, gentle person. He was ever so helpful to my family and I when my Dad passed away, he picked us all up at the airport and made sure that he checked in on several occasions. I will never forget his kindness to all of us. I'm sure he is with God and watching down over all of you. Take joy in knowing he touched many lives in a special way. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Gloria and Family

I remember the many good times Dan and I had "on the job". He was truely a gentle giant and a great guy to work with. Please accept my sincere sympathy.
