I first met Dave when my Dad became minister of the First Presbyterian Church in Watervliet. He quickly became a friend of our family and of great help to my Dad. Over the years, he was always there whenever I would visit and attend church or one of the church dinners. I always got a friendly greeting and a hug. So sorry for your loss.

Dave was one of the best of the best of men. He did so much for his church, worked endlessly for the Boy Scouts. While he was my scout leader, he also taught me in high school class while a substitute teacher. When a scout could not afford to attend a function, Dave would see that no one missed a camping trip or function, reaching into his own pocket!
There was no limit to his generosity, dedication or hard work. The very best to you Dave in Heaven, I am sure you are there!

Deepest sympathies go out to everyone who has ever had the opportunity to know Dave. Dave wasn't just a friend of the families but was a part of the family. Anyone who knew Dave would know that he didn't have a selfish bone in his body, he was always more than willing to help others and always greeted everyone with a smile and if you knew him well enough, a hug. He will be terribly missed by so many individuals. Thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
