Dolores M. Case

Case, Dolores M. GUILDERLAND Dolores M. Case, 88, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2021, at Our Lady of Mercy Center. She was born in Syracuse to Marie Jensen France and Clyde France. She also lived in Jamestown, Rochester, LaFayette, Averill Park, Wynantskill and Guilderland, as well as many years in Murray, Utah. She graduated from Falconer High School in 1952. Dolores worked at RG&E in her younger years. She also attended business school in Utah. Dolores worked at Mountain Bell Telephone for many years until her retirement. Dolores was a member of the First Reformed Church of Wynantskill. She had a passion for classical music, and in her younger years played the violin and performed in several orchestras. Dolores loved to sing, and was a member of multiple chorale groups throughout her lifetime including the Capital Hill Choral Society. She performed in many musical theatre performances, operas, musical orations, and her favorite was performing the Messiah every December. She was an avid reader, animal lover, and enjoyed hiking when she was able. Dolores was a loving mother to her three children, and always went above and beyond to give them a wonderful life. She is survived by her daughters, Valerie "Ginger" Case (Lance) of Mariposa, Calif. and Kristen Case (Jean) of Averill Park. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Aba Monroy, Erin Mooney, Alina Lambert, Patsy Brochini, Rose Brochini, Johnni Brochini, and Duane "Dewey" Brochini Jr.; and her great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Monroy, Aidyn Monroy, and Joshua Mooney. Dolores is also survived by her sister Nancy Lanier, and a host of nieces, nephews and her dear friends. In addition to her parents, Dolores was predeceased by her son Daniel Case; her brothers, Robert France and Don France; and her friend and ex-husband Norman O. Case. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the Wynantskill Funeral Home. In following the wishes of the family, a celebration of Dolores' life will be held in the summer of 2022. Inurnment will be private in the Evergreen Cemetery in Wynantskill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of the Humane Society.
