Donald Gendron Obituary

Gendron, Donald J. TROY Donald J. Gendron, 81, of Lansingburg died peacefully on November 30, 2017. In memory of our eldest brother, we send condolences to his wife, children and immediate family. We know how much you will miss him. Don was president of Gendron's Truck Center in Troy and began on April 1, 1952, as the car washer and eventually became president after many years of service. He retired in July of 2010. During that time his brother Richard became his partner and Peter became the CPA for the company. We all worked together to make a successful General Motors Dealership. At times there were differences that arose in our relationship, but we were still always brothers first. We all strived to make the best decisions for the success of the company. That being said: he was survived by 10 siblings of the Gendron family; Paul, Christine, Richard, William, Peter, Henry, George, Denise, Lourdes and Michael. We apologize for the error in the previous obituary. Respectfully, Richard T. Gendron and Peter J. Gendron.

My deepest sympathy to the Gendron family. I remember when Donnny would test drive cars up Middleburgh back in the 50's for the Pontiac dealership. Glad to see the Gendron family thrive successfully and I know their parents would be proud of their hard work ethic. God Bless.

One of my favorite memories of Uncle Don was fishing up north. He had just missed a giant rainbow trout and looked around to see if any one else saw it. We both had a good laugh and continued to fish. I love that memory of him. David Gendron
