Eugene Di Cocco Obituary

Di Cocco, Eugene F. ROTTERDAM Eugene F. Di Cocco, 61, of Pyle Rd., passed away suddenly on Monday, January 12, 2009 at his home. Born in the town of Fontechiari, Province of Frosin-one, Italy on November 13, 1947, Eugene was the son of Henry and Adelina Longo Di Cocco. Eugene came to the United States with his family in 1955 and graduated from the former Mt. Pleasant Technical High School. He then went on to graduate from Union College with his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. Upon graduating, Eugene went to work for the New York State Department of Transportation. He is survived by his three brothers, John B. (Faustine) Di Cocco of Niskayuna, Remo Di Cocco of Rotterdam, and Vincent (Maria) Di Cocco of Rotterdam. Eugene is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Calling hours, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin 8:15 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home followed by a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Assumption Church. Burial will follow in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Eugene's memory to the charity of one's choice.
