Felix Mrozek Obituary

Mrozek, Felix S. ROUND LAKE Felix S. Mrozek, 75, of Round Lake, passed away at his home on Monday, September 19, 2022. He was born in Bridgeport, Conn. and was a graduate of Bridgeport High School and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He was son of the late Felix and Mary Sue Gotch Mrozek. He served honorably in the United States Air Force and then went on to a career as a principal sanitarian with the New York State Department of Health. Felix was husband of the late Elizabeth J. Hartshorn Mrozek of Round Lake; father of Dawn E. James of Conway, N.H. and Wendy M. Carson of Hanover, Mass.; grandfather of Nickolas James of Oregon and Aidan James of Conway, N.H. He is also survived by sisters, Karen Smeltz of Langhome, Pa. and Stephanie Sullivan of Conn. He was entombed privately at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life to be held October 30, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Wheatfields Bistro in Clifton Park. I worked with Felix (whom we knew as "Phil") and enjoyed our many conversations about current events, events in history, and also about his time in the service. My condolences to his family.
