Frances Iveson Obituary

Iveson, Frances COLONIE Frances Iveson, 64, died Monday, February 4, 2008 at home. Born and educated in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Ornoski Gione. She was a cashier for the former Trading Port Market for many years. Frances was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed going to the Turning Stone Casino. She also enjoyed playing bingo and playing cards. She was an avid fan of the New York Giants. Frances enjoyed family holidays, parties, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was the beloved wife of 39 years to Leonard Iveson; loving mother of Lori Iannopollo, Daniel Iveson, and Timothy Iveson; mother-in-law of Mike Ianno-pollo, Karen Iveson and Stacey Iveson; beloved grandmother of Shea, Cole, and Reed Iveson, Dominic and Angela Iannopollo, Alexis and Courtney Iveson; aunt of Renee Bergin and Scott, Peter and Michael LaBarge; great aunt of Patrick and Katie Bergin; sister of the late Helen LaBarge and Joe; sister-in-law of Linda and Philip Manuli, Raymond and Becky Iveson; also survived by many cousins and her special friend, Sandy Sill. Special thanks to Pat McBride and Jane Warren for their thoughtful cards and phone calls to Frances. Also, special thanks to Dr. Daniel Kredentser and his staff. Funeral services Thursday at 8:15 a.m. from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany thence to St. Clare's Church at 9:00 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow the Mass in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Those wishing to remember Frances in a special way may send a contribution to Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
