George Lemieux Obituary

VOORHEESVILLE George E. Lemieux, 80, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at the Community Hospice of Albany Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Plattsburgh, George had lived in Voorheesville for the past 46 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. He worked for 33 years for the United States Post Office and retired as a postal carrier from the Voorheesville Post Office in 1981. George was the husband of Alice Macnab Lemieux; father of George (and Rochelle) Lemieux of Noblesville, Ind., Emery (and Patricia) Lemieux of Voorheesville and the late Myra Alice Lemieux; grandfather of Christopher, Alysen, Kortney and Emery Lemieux and Katie Sisson; and brother of Donald Lemieux of Plattsburgh and the late Homer, Jim and Marge. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services at 11:00 o'clock Friday morning at the New Scotland Presbyterian Church, 2010 New Scotland Rd., Slingerlands, NY 12159. Burial will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery in Saratoga. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Scotland Presbyterian Church or the Community Hospice of Albany Inn, 315 So. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
