George Sedgwick Obituary

Sedgwick, George F. "Moe" Jr. COLONIE George F. "Moe" Sedgwick Jr., 73, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Moe was born on September 28, 1934 in Albany and was the son of the late George F. and Charlotte Dyer Sedgwick. He served in the US Marine Corps. He was a construction worker with Local Union 166 in Albany for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Moe is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joan; his children, Brian (Kathy), Charles "Fred" and Al (Clare); his grandchildren, Collin, Aaron and Derek; and his sister, Dawn. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 - south of Central Ave). Interment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna. A calling hour will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Colonie EMS Benevolent Association, P.O. Box 11076, Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of George F.
