Irene Eckhardt Obituary

Eckhardt, Irene D. COLONIE Irene D. Miller Mahar Eckhardt, 79, of Colonie, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Boston, Mass. and was the daughter of the late Willard and Florence Fisher Miller. Irene was predeceased by her husbands, Paul Mahar and Edward Eckhardt. She was a Boston Red Sox fan and devoted to her canine companion, Snowberry. She is survived by two sons, Joseph F. Mahar and Donald W. Mahar. Irene is also survived by several stepchildren; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; sister- in-law; nephews and dear friends. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9:30 at NewComer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
