Jane Skinner Obituary

Skinner, Jane WATERVLIET Jane Skinner, 50, of Watervliet, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy with her cherished family at her side. Born in Troy on May 27, 1965, she was the daughter of the late James P. and Caroline (Armstrong) Caulfield. Jane was married to the love of her life Scott Skinner on June 29, 1991, and the two shared a devoted union of 24 years prior to her passing. She loved being able to stay at home and raise her beautiful daughters and share her life stories with them as they grew. Jane then became the confidential secretary with the Albany County Coroner's Office where she treated all the families she came in contact with much compassion. She was well known for her amazing chocolate chip cookies. Some of her most treasured times were the times with her family at her "heaven on earth" in the Adirondacks. In addition to her beloved husband, Scott, she is survived by her loving children, Kate (Jared) Paul of Orlando Fla., Melissa Skinner and Sarah Skinner, both of Watervliet; her cherished grandson, Jared Jr., who was born five days ago on July 10; her sisters and best friends, Cathy (Carl) Fruscio, Helen (late Dan) Budka and Margaret (Tim) Cavanaugh, all of Watervliet; her mother-in-law, Virginia Skinner; brothers-in-law, William Mitchell and Doug Skinner; her sister-in-law, Patricia Lessard. Jane is also survived by her many loved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and special friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday, July 20, 2015, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the JDRF, for the family's long support 950 New Loudon Rd #330, Latham, NY 12110. Dear Scott, Kate, Melissa & Sarah,
I am so deeply sorry to hear this news! Jane was always a bright ray of sunshine whenever she came down the halls of St. Brigid's to my office. I remember her as a loving, fun-loving mother and incredibly supportive parent at St. Brigid's. Lean on each other during this time and may the wonderful memories that you share fill the void that will be left with her passing. With each day, keep her wonderful spirit alive in each of you by sharing those memories. I shall remember her smile and the sparkle in her eyes when she would look at her girls! Girls, when you hug each other, hold on just a little bit tighter, because a little part of your Mom lives within each you, breath it in, for you will feel her presence there! You are all in my prayers.

To Jane's family..
There are no words to express how sad we are for all of you. We will pray for your strength and healing. Please accept our
condolences. Know she is no longer suffering and is in enteral peace.

Do not stand at my grave and forever weep.I am not there; I do not sleep.I am a thousand winds that blow.I am the diamond glints on snow.I am the sunlight on ripened grain.I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hushI am the swift uplifting rushOf quiet birds in circled flight.I am the soft stars that shine at night.Do not stand at my grave and forever cry.I am not there. I did not die.
