Jeffrey Schulkind Obituary

Schulkind, Jeffrey A.
LIVINGTON, N.J. - Jeffrey A. Schulkind, 72, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was the son of the late Samuel and Evelyn (Greenspan) Schulkind, and the brother of Marilyn.
Jeffrey grew up on Long Island where he graduated from Lawrence High School before going on to receive his Bachelor's Degree in Social Science from Stony Brook University, and later his Master's Degree in Computer Science from N.Y.U. Polytechnic School of Engineering. After marrying his beloved wife Linda, together they moved to Clifton Park, N.Y. where they raised their daughter, Jennifer.
Jeffrey worked as an IT Director for New York State for more than thirty years before retiring. Known for his warmth, charm, and quick wit, he was always ready to make those around him smile with a kind word or a joke. He was a good friend to many, often the source of comfort and wisdom during long phone conversations. Recently, Jeffrey moved from his long-time home in Clifton Park to Livingston to be closer to his family. He was a doting grandfather to Jackson and Logan, and he loved to spend afternoons building with blocks, describing faraway lands on a globe, or reading endless stacks of books. Jeffrey is beloved by many and will be dearly missed.
Jeffrey was the devoted husband of the late Linda R. (Leone) Schulkind; loving father of Jennifer (Adam) Schuster; adoring grandfather "Papa" of Jackson and Logan Schuster; cherished brother of Marilyn and Harvey Cohen; and brother-in-law to Diane Brown, Nancy London and Janet Gampinsky. Jeffrey is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, at the Menorah Chapels at Milburn, 2950 Vauxhall Rd, Union, NJ.

Jennifer and family,

I am so sorry for you loss. I had the pleasure of sorking for Jeff Schulkind and also giving him a referral after retirement. I admired his view on life and his diplomatic tendencies. His attitude on life made it attractive to go to work daily. Heaven has gained a wonderful soul.

He will be dearly missed. As he would say, I digress...
Praying comfort and peace knowing that he is in a better place.

I am so very sorry to hear of Jeff´s passing. I had the privilege of working with Jeff for 25 years. He added so much life to the office and I´m blessed to have many good memories of our time together, including a five day training course in NYC. Jeff was so proud of his family and loved them and his friends dearly. My deepest condolences to all who loved Jeff and will miss him.
