Poppy, I can't believe that it has been 1 year since you died. I miss you so much. I still think that if I drive to your house you will be sitting on the right side of the couch. I miss those days when I would stop by after work and we would just sit around your dinner table and talk. I would give anything to be able to do that again. You are in my thoughts and prayers everyday. I miss you so much but I know that you are watching over us and keeping us safe. I love you. Love always. Stephanie

Dear Dad, It's hard to believe it's been a year already since you left us to be with God in Heaven. We all love and miss you very much. I ofton think that you can see and know what we are all doing down here. Richard and I just bought a new home. You really would have liked it, drinking your rum and cokes, reading your books and looking at the beautiful mountains surrounding our community. Dear Dad, We know that your birthday isn't until Friday, but, we always celebrated both Mom and your birthdays together, so Richard and I want to wish you a happy birthday, I will always remember the good times we had celebrating all of our birthdays together, even if it was only singing on the telephone. This is the first year that you are not able to be with us. Mom is celebrating her bithday today, and I know she would give anything for those little kisses you gave her all the time. I know you weren't much of a dog lover, but I think you liked Zach. He is at Rainbow Bridge now and we hope you see each other. Poppy and Grammy,
We just want to say how deeply sorry we are for the loss of a wonderful husband,grandfather and great grandfather. Ever since we moved away from New York, we were not able to see you all as much as we would have liked to. We will keep all of our wonderful memories close to our hearts. Mom, I know that you know how very sorry I am for your loss. You two were a very special couple and I hope Rosemarie and I have as many happy years as you two did. Poppy was and still is a very important part of our family, a part that will be forever remembered in our hearts. I will never forget how strong he was when I spoke to him in his last days, and I only wish I could have spent some time with him then. I'm sure that he was very happy with the service as with everything you do, it was as perfect as it could have been. Thank you for all you have done for us and remember we want you to come and visit for as long as you want when ever you want.

I am so sorry for your loss and for all of our loss. I miss Poppy so much. He meant so much to me. I will always cherish all the times we spent together. The day before Poppy died he told me how lucky he was to have you for his wife, and how god gave him the perfect woman. Well, I want you to know how lucky I feel to have had you both in my life. I feel like there was a special bond between the 3 of us. Thank you so much for giving me Poppy's ring. I will keep it with me always. To my Mom, my Brother John, Steph and the rest of my family. Thank you all for the wonderful care you gave to Dad during his recent illness. To Steph, for the special care you gave to Poppy during the final days of his life. You were such a big help to him and Grammy. To Mom and John for the planning of Dad's funeral. Everything was beautiful from the service at the funeral parlor and at the cemetary. Dad would have been very pleased. And to the rest of our family for being there supporting each other during this most difficult time in our lives. We were all very fortunate to have Dad with us for the time we did, others haven't been so lucky. We all have our special memories we will hold dear to each one of us in different ways. These treasures will stay with us for the rest of our lives. Thanks to all our family and friends for being with us at this time. Dad I love you and miss you and will be forever grateful we were able to spend some time together before you went to heaven to be with God for eternity.

This loss has no words that I can think of. You had a beautiful life together. He is peaceful and with God now.
