Nixon was a member of the Association of Anglican Musicians, having never given up his deep love of organ and choral music, in which he was well trained before being called to the priesthood. His presence at annual meetings of AAM was marked by his good, often subtle, and ever poignant humor as well as his friendship to all he met. He welcomed me when we met and made me feel a part of the larger organization in many ways. We kept in touch mainly by e-mail in between the annual meetings. I will miss him very much as will so many other members of AAM who knew his radiant smile and warm interaction. May his soul be lifted up by choirs of angels into the spiritual world that he knew so well through his musical and his priestly gifts.

Father Nixon became an important part of my then young families lives when he first came to Trinity Episcopal when my husband had his first open heart surgery. He had continued to follow us through our lives. Enjoying our boys accomplishments. We loved seeing him back at Trinity when we were home in Michigan for holidays. He shared a great love of music with our son James. Rest in heaven father Nixon you will be missed.

Our memories of Nixon are far reaching and always uplifting. Prior to our being parishioners at Trinity, Grand Ledge, we knew him through his glorious ministry of music and the AGO in which we enjoyed so much organ and choral opportunities. We will miss Nixon´s spiritual leadership, of course, but also his unique sense of humor and always spirited conversation. RIP, dear Nixon.
