John Mulheren Obituary

Mulheren, John Edward EAST GREENBUSH John E. Mulheren, 61, beloved husband of Linda Michel Mulheren, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 8, 2016, after a brief and heroic battle with cancer. Born on December 4, 1954, to Catherine and the late Joseph Mulheren, John was raised in Watervliet and was a graduate of La Salle Institute. John was a licensed plumber and had his own plumbing and heating business for more than 30 years. He loved his sister, Mary's homemade sugar cookies, was an avid N.A.S.C.A.R. fan, enjoyed watching N.F.L. football and working on jigsaw puzzles. John also competed against his twin brother in online poker games and was always striving to knock his brother out of the competition. He is predeceased by his father Joseph Mulheren; brother Robert Mulheren; and treasured dog, Tara; and cat, Timmy. John is survived by and will be missed by his wife, Linda Michel Mulheren; mother, Catherine Judge Mulheren; sister, Mary (George) Campbell of Latham; sister, Dorothy LaVoie of Cohoes; brother, Michael Mulheren of Latham; twin brother, James (Maryanne) Mulheren of Ukiah; brother, Edward (Susan) Mulheren of Charlotte, N.C.; and sister, Cindy (Scott) Neff of Pattersonville. John was also close to his brother-in-law, and sister-in-law, Elwin and Helen Michel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Blackie. John made an anatomical donation to Albany Medical College and according to his wishes there will be no services. Donations in memory of John may be made to: The Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd. Rensselaer, NY 12144.
