John and family were our neighbors in Ypsilanti Michigan. Condolences to the Post family for their loss. We met John the early 70's. John and I both served in the Marine Corps. John was a pilot working for a air freight company out of Willow Run.

Dear Mary and Alexandra,

What do you say to the people who have been a second family over all these years? Craig and I miss John daily, the memories of him bring tears and laughter all at the same time. (Mary, he knows all about the boat coming unhitched from the truck and landing on the side of the Northway now! I can hear and see him laughing at it and us!) I think we all know he'll always be looking out for you and Alexandra and Ella and all of his family...that's just the way John is. Take care Mare, we'll be in close touch. Love you,

Connie and Craig

Mary, I'm so sorry for your loss, but I know you are thinking of the laughs and the tears and all that you shared with John. You were both so generous to us and shared these things with all of us. I have great memories of John, when we had offices next door to each other in the hangar in ALB and he was always "going to a meeting with the tower" to go see you and Alexandra for dinner. He kept that smirk on his face when he told his crazy fun stories and we all got to join in the joke. That's what was so great about John, he included everyone in the fun.

John is greatly missed already and just know that you and Alexandra are loved, though you don't hear from us daily, you are in our thoughts always!

Miss you and lots of love, Kelly

Mary,

I'm shocked and deeply saddend by John's passing. John was one of the greatist pilots i've every flown with. The nights at the Woronock we spent together after long days out on the line were the greatist. He was a true professional and an absoulte pleasure to be around. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Fly West John.

Mary,

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your daughter. I have wonderful memories of John who brought a smile to everyone at Command Airways when we didn't have much to smile about. What a kind and gentle soul he was.

Mary-I've been thinking a lot this week about the gift you and John gave so many us-the gift of so many smiles and laughter. Seeing all the people at the wake whose lives you both have touched, I could see it coming back in their memories, their smiles and laughter. I can think of no greater tribute to a great man who i was so fortunate to have known. Please know that my thoughts and prayers join so many others for you and Alexandra; know that you remain in our hearts and thus will never walk alone in these most difficult days.

Mary,

I've known John since 1977 when I was a mechanic for Command. Had the pleasure of being a line pilot in ALB, when he was base manager.I still remember that picture he had of Alexandra with the TV remote and his coffee mug next to her, shortly after her birth. He was one of the good guys and I will miss him dearly. Andrea had the pleasure of doing a trip with him when she was still an FA and said it was one of the best trips she ever had.

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mary,

Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of John. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. John always put a smile on my face, as I am sure he did for you too. As time has separated all of us at Command, he was always someone you look forward to seeing and talking to about “the good ole days”. He will be missed greatly!

We are so sorry for your loss. Peter and I very fondly remember working with John at Command Airways, and always enjoyed his company.
May John's spirit soar. And, now when we look up in the sky, we'll know that not just airplanes, but John's spirit, will be up there too.
Peace
