Joseph Bonacci Obituary

Bonacci, Joseph J. Sr. GLENMONT Joseph J. Bonacci Sr. who brought joy to all who knew him passed away on December 16, 2014 at the age of 77. Called unexpectedly, Joe lived for his family, friends, church and the Buffalo Bills. Born in Coxsackie to the late Gabriel and Theresa "Misuraca" Bonacci. Loving father of Joseph (Colleen) Bonacci and Sheri (Mark) Forsyth. Devoted grandfather of Michael Bonacci, Alexander Forsyth, Kathleen Bonacci and Matthew Bonacci. Loving brother of Diane Bonacci, the late Antoinette (Guy) Hallenbeck and the late William Bonacci. Dear uncle, cousin and friend to so many. Joe served his country in the U.S. coast Guard and U.S. Air Force and retired from the New York State Department of Corrections as a correction officer. He was especially proud of serving as fire chief of DM Hamilton Steamer Co. 2. Joe enjoyed spending his winters with his daughter in Louisiana and sister in California. He spent his last two years residing with his son and family in Glenmont. Joe attended all of his grandchildrens activities and was their biggest fan. Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at WC Brady's Funeral Home, 97 Mansion St., Coxsackie, NY 12051. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his memory to DM Hamilton Steamer Co. #2, 119 Mansion St., Coxsackie, NY 12051. Condolences may be made at wcbradyssonsinc.net.
