Josephine Constantine Obituary

MECHANICVILLE Josephine Statler Constantine, 93, of the Cook Adult Home, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at the home. Born in Albany, Josephine had lived on Loudon Parkway in Loudonville before moving to Ballston Spa in 1974. She had lived at the Cook Home for the past two years. Josephine was a member of the Albany College of Pharmacy Auxiliary, a member of the Ballston Area Seniors, treasurer of the Ballston Spa Chapter of the AARP and, prior to moving to Mechanicville, a member of St. Mary's Church in Ballston Spa. Josephine was the wife of the late Paul James Constantine Sr., proprietor of Paul's Drug Store, Madison Avenue Pharmacy and Constantine's Pharmacy. She is survived by her children, Paul J. Constantine Jr. (Joan) of Ballston Spa and Ruth Martin Staff (Michael T. Staff) of Niskayuna; a sister, Anna Kutryb of Fla.; grandchildren, Paul J. Constantine III, James P. Constantine, Dawn H. Constantine, Seth B. Martin, Courtney R. Martin, Lauren M. Staff and Bryan (Stephanie) Staff; three great-grandchildren; nieces, Eileen Martling of Gloversville, Betsy Boyd of Batavia and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral 9 o'clock Friday morning from the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie and 10 o'clock at Blessed Virgin Mary of Czestochowa National Catholic Church, 250 Maxwell Rd., Latham, N.Y. 12110-4915. Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home. For those who wish, contributions to Hospice of Saratoga County, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 or the Blessed Virgin Mary of Czestochowa National Catholic Church would be appreciated.
