Julia Thomas Obituary
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Julia Ann Thomas died on May 24, 2025, at the age of 83. Julia joins her husband, William Thomas, of 60 years, in heaven. Among the grieving are her children, Glenn (Yvonne) Thomas, Gregg (Denise) Thomas, Heather (David) Huntress, and Melissa Thomas (John Dietrich). With much love, she also leaves behind three grandchildren, Adam and Hailey Huntress and Simon Thomas; but rejoices with her other granddaughters, Taylor and Cheyenne Thomas, in everlasting peace.
Julia's earned multiple certifications on IBM computers after high school and went on to have a very successful 45-year career with the State of New York (as both a telephone) as a NY telephone operator and computer operator for BOCES and Empire State College. Her children spent happy times at her workplaces, before "Take your kids to work" was in vogue. It gave all of us a very early education of the computer age that would lead us into adulthood. Julia and Bill raised four successful children, mostly in Saratoga Springs, their home of 50 years.
We want to thank you, Mom, for all of your gifts: your love, protection, patience, wisdom, guidance, strength, ethics, and above all... our free will. We know you are resting peacefully on your cloud in Heaven, and you will always be watching over us.

I just learned of Julia´s passing and am very sad to hear it. I worked with Julia for 25 years at Empire State and have very fond memories of our time together. Thomas children and grandchildren, I know you were much loved!

I worked with Julia for many years at ESC and have such wonderful memories of her. Including that she predicted correctly that each of my 4 children were boys. I am sad to hear of her passing.
