Kenneth Cartledge Obituary
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Kenneth "Ken" Cartledge, 81, of Saratoga Springs, New York, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025 at the Wesley Nursing Home following a brief battle with cancer.
Born in 1944 in East Durham, N.Y., he was the son of the late John and Carmella (Mainella) Cartledge. He was also predeceased by his sister, Nancy Lepre Hamner.
Following high school, Ken earned his undergrad at Union College, and his masters at SUNY Albany. In 2002 he married Karen Miele. Ken enjoyed a long career in banking, and following his retirement developed and owned Saratoga Mini Golf. In his down time, he loved getting away to Kennebunk, Maine. Ken also had a special place in his heart for animals, especially cats.
Ken leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Karen Miele; his children, Tracy (Michael) DeMarco, and Christine (John) Freer; his grandchildren, Caden DeMarco and Tracy Jean Freer; his brother-in-law, Dan Hamner; his sister-in-law, Marie (Ken) Miller; a nephew, Clinton (Ashley) Miller; and his good friends, Tom and Carol Crowley, Enza Shellard, and Tina Campbell.
A visitation for Ken will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, 4 until 8 p.m., at Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, N.Y. 12065. A Funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m., at St. Mary's of Ballston Spa, 167 Milton Ave., Ballston Spa, N.Y. 12020, followed immediately by a burial at St. Mary's Cemetery of Troy.
