I am so sorry for your loss. Kevin and I (and our group) had some crazy adventures during high school, and we stayed in touch throughout the years. He was always a great friend, and he grew to be a great husband, father, and attorney. He will be missed by so many.

Hudson, NY, at least as it was growing up, is a small town. You pretty much knew everyone, directly or through one connection away. Kevin and I were a few years apart in high school (his brother-in-law Danny the same year), and our careers intersected on a few occasions. He was an excellent lawyer (by skill and temperament), built a great and respected firm, and was just a very, very good guy. My thoughts are with his family on an indescribable loss.

To Karen, my pharmacy school friend.... In the quiet moments of reflection, may you find peace in the memories you shared with your brother and nephews. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

Dear Mary and Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear about Kevin´s passing. We always enjoyed seeing him at the mountain and at the races. He was such a warm and friendly presence, someone who always made the ski days a little brighter just by being there.
I can´t begin to imagine the pain you and your boys are going through, but please know that our hearts are with you. If there´s anything we can do to support you or your family during this time, please don´t hesitate to reach out.
Wishing you strength and comfort in the days ahead.
With deepest sympathy,
The Cheung Family

I didn't know him well, but Kevin exuded an aura of kindness whenever I saw him. He was, from what I saw, a wonderful father and just an all around good man. My heart goes out to his family, friends and colleagues and to everyone whose world is darker now for not having his light in it.

I met Barbara and Michael Colwell Sr through my working with their son "Mikey". Over the years of working with Michael Jr. I got to meet Kevin and Karen. They always made me feel like part of the family.
One of my fondest memories was when I attended Mary and Kevin's wedding. I was asked if I was a member of the family at the reception. I said yes because of the special relationship I had with the family.
I am so sorry your loss, and know that you will see him again when your life ends on earth and you will be reunited in heaven. What a reunion this will be! I am sending love, and prayers to all of you!

Kevin Colwell practiced law at the highest levels of his profession. His knowledge of the law, ethical standards and dedication to his clients made him welcome in every courtroom of the Capital District. Though he leaves a great legacy to his community in the form of his beautiful family and their loss is immeasurable, his death is also a great loss to the legal community.

I was proud to be his campaign treasurer when he ran for City of Hudson Judge. Kevin was a good trustworthy cousin and friend.
