Linda Overocker

Overocker, Linda COLONIE Linda D. Overocker passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 28, 2016, at the Joan Nicole Prince Home in Scotia, at the age of 69. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Bob Overocker; her beloved daughter, Carrie Ann Fiorini of Ballston Spa; her beloved son, Luigi Fiorini of Ballston Spa; and her most precious grandson, Luigi Joseph (Louie) Fiorini of Ballston Spa; her siblings, Robert (Debra) Wasielewski of Schaghticoke, Terrence Wasielewski of Schaghticoke, and Edward Wasielewski of Saratoga; also survived by several nieces and nephews and very close friends. Linda was born in Troy, on October 5, 1946, to the late Edward and Helen Molesky Wasielewski. She graduated from O'Brien's Nursing School in June 1967 with a degree as an LPN. She married Robert Overocker on September 12, 1970. Linda enjoyed nursing and devoted her life to helping others. She loved spending time with her family and close friends. She cherished the time she spent with her grandson Louie, the "apple" of her eye. Linda was a very spiritual person and loved spending time talking to God. She was a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Schenectady. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday, April 1, 2016, from 4-7 p..m at New Comer Funeral Home, Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 9 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2777 Albany St., Schenectady. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 2501 Troy Schenectady Rd, Niskayuna.
