He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham. Survivors in addition to his wife include his loving children, Bethany (Ken) Liberty and Mark (Brittany Pfaff) Ambrosio. He was the cherished Pop-Pop to Kayleigh Liberty, Sawyer Liberty and Jacob "Jake" Liberty; and dear brother of Diane (Ken) Jones, Vincent (Janet) Ambrosio and Joseph (Jane) Ambrosio. Dear Ambrosio Family and Friends, We are sending love and prayers to you at this sad time. Please know you are not alone in your sorrow. Mike's character, kindness and positive outlook on life will continue to live on in his children and grandchildren. Also, Mike continues to inspire everyone he talked to. I was fortunate enough to meet him during an Open House at Colonie High School, when he was my daughter's Health Teacher. He shared advice about how important good health is and he said, "Take the time to exercise every day". He wanted the best for everyone. It is nice to read how Mike inspired so many people to live a positive lifestyle. We are all Blessed to have him as a role model. Love and Sympathy from Gina, Marco, Allegra and Gianina Padula

I was so sorry to hear this news. I worked directly with Mike for many years. He was a wonderful human being- always positive, upbeat and ready to help whenever he could.
He touched so many people's lives both students in his class, athletes that he coached and colleagues that he worked with.
I can't imagine the loss that your family is feeling because Mike was a special person - you couldn't help but feel good in his presence.
My love goes out to you all.

My deepest sympathies to the family. He coached me and was a terrific influence on me my junior and senior years at Troy high. I was in line st Sam's club last year and heard him talking behind me and recognized him by his voice after all those years! We talked for 10 or 15 minutes about those times. He was a great person.
