Nicholas L. Cioffi Jr.

Cioffi, Nicholas L. Jr. AVERILL PARK Nicholas L. Cioffi Jr., 64 of Averill Park, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Nick was born in Troy to the late Nicholas L. Cioffi Sr. and Catherine Japour Cioffi. Nick is survived by his wife, Jean Daly Cioffi, and his sons, Nicholas Cioffi III and Anthony Cioffi. Also survived by his siblings, Mary Kay (Robert) Brown and Thomas (Maribeth) Cioffi; and several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and faithful canine companions, Willy and Champ. Nick was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School and the College of St. Rose. He retired from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, as a child protective specialist 1. After his retirement, he worked part time at Testos' Restaurant in Lansingburgh. Nick loved to follow his son's baseball careers from high school through college. He coached his son's little league teams and CYO basketball. Nick also enjoyed going to the track and OTB. He took so much pride in his garden making sure to grow the biggest cucumber in the neighborhood. Every night, Nick loved to watch TV with his buddy Champ. Family and friends are welcomed to St. Henry's Church, Averill Park on Friday, June 10, from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. A memorial Mass will follow in the church at 11 a.m. Please visit www.mcloughlinmason.com.
