Corsi, Peter J. SCHODACK Peter J. Corsi, 45, of Schodack, died at Albany Medical Center Hospital February 13, 2017, after suffering a serious and unexpected illness. Born in Albany, September 17, 1971, Peter was the proud son of parents, Peter J. and Kathy Corsi. Pete is survived by his parents; the mothers of his children, Krista Spada and Erika Valoze; his sons, Peyton, Justin and his extended son, Matthew; his sister, Kristina (Jake) Sherwood; aunt and uncle Pat and Tom Norwood; and niece, Addison Sherwood. Pete is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and his extended family, the Higgins family of East Greenbush. After working in the automotive and repair shop equipment field for over a decade, Pete founded Garage Equipment Solutions in Schodack five years ago. Under Pete's guidance, GES built a customer base throughout the Northeast and New England, serving many well-known automotive dealerships and garages, and grew substantially since its launch. He was known, respected and liked in his field, and regarding as an authority in his business. Pete was devoted to his children and considered them his proudest accomplishments. He loved spending time with his sons on Schroon Lake, and served as a coach with Pop Warner Football. Pete was a diehard, lifelong fan of the Oakland Raiders football team, enjoyed golf and other outdoor activities. To know Pete was to have a true friend. Along with his devotion to his children and niece, Pete was known for his loyalty and friendship to so many. Whether you were a friend from childhood, during his adult years, or from work, Pete could be counted on for support, guidance, humor, and genuine concern for those in his life when it was needed. While he is gone too soon, Pete will be remembered for many years to come by friends who wish they could have one more phone call, meeting, shared joke or day on the golf course with him. He will never be forgotten by those privileged to share their life with him. Remember Pete by living with his sense of spirit and adventure, his willingness to give freely of himself to help others, love of family and friends, and his courage, strength and optimism. Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday at 11 a.m. from the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpke., East Greenbush. Calling hours are from the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. His ashes will be buried in New Rural Cemetery, East Greenbush. We may also remember Pete by supporting his children. In lieu of flowers, family and friends are invited to support the education of Peyton and Justin by donating to a fund in their name at TD Bank under the "PJ's Pride Memorial Fund."
