Peter Kirwan Obituary
SCHENECTADY - Peter T. Kirwan II, 78, passed away on March 28, 2023, at home.
Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Paul Edward Sr. and Marjorie (Young) Kirwan. Peter worked for many years as a plumber and steamfitter in Albany. He was a fixer of anything and everything, including people. He was an amazing cook and dancer. He was a gentleman and believed in treating people with kindness.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Susan (Muldowney) Kirwan; his son, Patrick Henry Kirwan; his stepdaughter, Suzanne Crossley; and his siblings Joan McLeod and Paul Kirwan. He is survived by his wife, Linda Kelly Kirwan; his children, Liza and Paul Kirwan, Megyn Kelly (Doug Brunt), and Peter Kelly (Sharon Barrington); his grandchildren, Susan (Terence) McGrath, Patrick, Maxwell, and Mackenzie Kirwan, Christopher, Brian and Emily Crossley, Joseph and Ryan Kelly, Yates, Yardley and Thatcher Brunt; his great-grandchildren, Maddie and Macie; several nieces and nephews; and his grand-cats Percy, Oliver, Fitz and Teagan.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Tuesday, April 4, from 4-7 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 5, at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 900 Madison Ave., Albany. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation to benefit the Susan and Patrick Kirwan Memorial Scholarship Fund at Niskayuna High School, c/o Elizabeth Kirwan, 901 Hazelwood Ave., Schenectady, NY, 12306.

To Peters family. I'm sorry for your loss. I use to work with Peter at CBI. We worked together most of the time. I think Peter and myself were the only ones that liked each other. We were always laughing. RIP Peter. Until we meet again.

Shocking as surprises are meant to be.. I met Uncle Peter prior to my wedding in July (many years ago) and as Fireworks are legal in Oregon, we strolled to the nearby stand and he bought soooooooooo many of them and said they were for my daughter but the gaga look and laughter he had, I knew he was going to have just as much fun too:) Bright Lights then and will always be with you Uncle Peter.
