Peter Thorn Obituary

Thorn, Peter BARNEGAT, N.J. Peter Thorn died Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Southern Ocean County Hospital following a long illness. He was 49. Born in Middletown, N.Y., he was raised in Boonton, N.J. and lived there most of his life before moving to Barnegat, N.J. 14 years ago. Mr. Thorn was the owner of Cab Ex Millenium Corp., Rahway, a kitchen design and sales company, for the past 12 years. His mother, Charlotte (nee Hanford) died in 2000. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Kari (nee VanRiper); a daughter, Allison June; his father, the Rev. Jack Thorn of Morristown; a brother, John Thorn and his wife Diana of Portland, Pa.; two sisters, Dr. Lisa Thorn and her husband Michael Hanna, and Joanne Thorn of Clinton; and six nieces. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 51 Mountain Way, Morris Plains, N.J. The interment will be private. There will be no hours of visitation. Memorial contributions in Peter's name may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorials and Tributes, One Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
