As a beginning dancer at age 26, Phyllis always found ways to share encouraging words, even as I continued to take classes through pregnancies. My son was born on her birthday in 1983, so we shared a special spiritual bond. I treasure loving memories of stretch and flex, jazz, as well as the performance at Sneaky Pete's in the early 80's. Phyllis, thank you for inspiring my love for all forms of dance, and I am grateful that our paths have crossed in this lifetime.

My thoughts and prayers to the family at this time of sorrow - I spent many years back in the 70's taking ballet classes - we danced at the Little Theater and at local malls - We used to have classes on the top floor of City Hall before she moved down the street -I even took classes at her big house by the track.
I was there at the start of the Saratoga Ballet Co.
I grew up with Madame - she was a special lady.

Thank you Phyllis for being not only a friend but a great inspiration to all of us. For giving my daughter dance classes to always wanting to take my son for ice cream. What can I say about Phyllis lat I can say that I grew up in Saratoga Springs and over the years when her name was mentioned you thought of all the amazing ballerinas that she taught .. she was an amazing teacher and everyone that met her like her she was loved and she will be missed but never forgotten we love you Phyllis Latin the Saunders family
