Real Tremblay Obituary

Tremblay, Real A. COHOES Real A. "Pitts" Tremblay, 64, of Van Schaick Avenue, beloved husband of Donna Meddis Tremblay of Cohoes, died on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Born in Hemming-ford, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of the late Albert and Noella Jervais Tremblay. Along with his family, they settled in Cohoes when he was nine years of age and was educated at Keveny Academy in Cohoes. Mr. Tremblay had been a truck driver, employed by William Kendall Trucking in Colonie. He was an avid Chevrolet and car racing fan, loved hunting but most of all loved and cherished his family and times spent with them. Devoted father of Michael (Laurie) Tremblay of Clifton Park; stepfather of Ric (Carol) Gilbert of Ashville, N.C., Robert (Stephanie) Gilbert of Troy, Christopher (Marie) Gilbert of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Carey (John) Feeley of Green Island; brother of Raymond (Shirley) Tremblay of Schuylerville; also survived by ten grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. Funeral will be held on Friday at 8:45 a.m. from the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., (corner of 115th St. and Fourth Avenue), Lansingburgh, thence to St. Peter's Church, Hutton Street and Fifth Avenue in Troy, where at 9:30 the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. William A. Gorman, pastor. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford.
