A Brave and Beautiful soul has found his way to the fairways in Heaven.
Dick was our rules expert golfing buddy who stepped softly on the greens, yet left deep footprints on our hearts. We all feel fortunate to have known him, and will always remember him with a club in his hand and a smile on his face.
His love for the game was only surpassed by his love for his family.

Dear Janis,

Seven years ago, at the Nazareth 50th reunion, I saw Richard in Medaille and, we hugged. I am glad now that that happened because I have now that singular memory of him.

Alas, Bob resists until necessary looking at his work iPhone emails wherein was the email from Fisher which contained the obituary. He saw that email, yesterday.
We would have been at Saint Mary´s in Oswego for the memorial mass and then at Vona´s to see and talk with you.

Fifty-seven years you were married. I remember your wedding.

I will be thinking of you , and I hope to see you again before long, maybe at another Nazareth reunion.

Love,
Kay

Dear Janis and family. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved husband and father Dick. I enjoyed playing golf with Dick and helping him run NYSGA tournaments back in the 1990’s. Such an interesting man to talk with and he truly loved the game of golf. He will be missed.

We were shocked and saddened to learn of Dick´s passing. I played golf occasionally with Dick at Albany Country Club, but never enough as he was one of the nicest partners around. Amazing how he was so knowledgeable about the rules and was held in high esteem by everyone, but he would never impose upon anyone. A wonderful gentleman. Sue knows Janice well from the club and the Albany Institute. We both send our heartfelt sympathy to Janice and the family.

Dick `s life was filled with family and friends . I met him when we were both "working on the railroad "It was the beginning of a like long friendship". He had character and a hearty laugh along with a sensitive spirit that showed in his compassion for others by reaching out during difficult times be it family or friend . He will be missed by all of us - he was that special! RIP

Whenever I think of my years at Fisher, Dick's memory is always in the forefront, for great memories are made by a great friend. There was always laughter at the Ward Hall dinner table when Dick was there. Janis, my prayers are with you, and may you find comfort in knowing that we, the ones lucky enough to know him, hold him in such high esteem. John Mehringer (Ring)

He was a wonderful man with a massive heart and cared so much about the NYS Golf Community and people involved. I always saw him treat others with respect and kindness. It would be hard to measure how much he gave back to the game and positively influenced those around him. I was fortunate to spend time with him over the past 8 or so years and will miss seeing his contagious smile and memorable chuckle out on the golf course.
