Richard Schaming Obituary

Schaming, Richard C. DELMAR Richard C. Schaming, 84, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015. He was born March 15, 1931 in Staten Island, N.Y., to Peter Schaming II and Anita Mitchell and was pre-deceased by his brother, Peter Schaming III and nephew, Erich Schaming. Rick is survived by nephews, Peter Schaming IV and Mark Schaming and niece, Lois McDonald. Rick was employed by the post office for many years. But his great enthusiasm in life was fishing; Rick loved fishing regardless of weather or success. "There is certainly something in angling that tends to produce a serenity of the mind." -Washington Irving. Rick will be greatly missed by his friends and family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday, June 13, at the St. Thomas the Church Chapel, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont at a later date.
