ALBANY - Ricky L. Richards, 58 of Albany, passed away on August 14, 2023. Visitation will be held on August 25, at 9 a.m. with a service to follow at 11 a.m. in the Metropolitan New Testament Baptist Church, 105 Second Street, Albany.

Mr. Richard's was a great man with a wonderful heart. He gave respect to everyone and in return he gained unconditional love from everyone. Just wanna say to the family just remember you never walk alone when you are weary he will carry you but faith is the key.God bless you all

First off I wanted to send my deepest condolences to the family for your loss of Ricky I knew him through work and had the pleasure to work with and I was stunned and shocked by his passing and I´m still shocked about it I´m going to miss him being as funny as he was and the ball busting he would do between other coworkers and myself.His memory and legacy will live on at Hamilton news so again my condolences to the family

My sincere and deepest condolences to the Richard's family. Mrs Richard's, Rachel and his children, I know there are no words or expression of sympathy that can ease the pain that you all are experiencing at this difficult time of your lives. Please know that God has called our beloved Raheem "Ricky" home to be with him but an angel to continue to watch over and protect you all in the spiritual realm.
Raheem, you became a part of my family when were teenagers and has always been family to us. I remember you and Shabazz beating on my mom's kitchen table chanting "we wanna eat" and you asking for more of those orange things which were candied yams . Forty five years later, I think of you and smile when I cook yams. You were always joking around and had the gift of brightening everyone's moments or days with your presence. You truly brought the sunshine in any environment that you stepped into.
Despite the distance between us you always called or texted me every holiday, especially on my birthday as our birthdays are two days a part. God called you home to be with him on my birthday this year which took a piece of my heart away, and left me feeling a great loss. However, as your big "little sister" you will always hold a special place in my heart. You are loved and will truly be missed by many.

My sincere condolences to the Richard's family. My heart is heavy and deeply saddened with the loss of my brother Ricky "Raheem" Richard's who became a part of my family as a teenager. I know that words nor anything else can ease the pain that you all are experiencing at this difficult time so I ask God to strengthen you all and carry you at this time. For Mrs Richards, Rachel and his children, know that God has called another angel home to be with him and continue to watch over you. Raheem will ALWAYS be with you all in spirit.
Raheem, I remember the days when you and Shabazz would be beating on my mom's kitchen table chanting "we wanna eat" and asking for more of those orange things which were candied yams lol. Forty five years later, I think of you and smile every time I make yams. I think about the many conversations that we had over the years as reminiscing about all the good times that we shared as a family. Despite the distance between us, you made sure you called or texted me every holiday and ESPECIALLY on my birthday which is two days before yours. God called you home on my birthday which took away a piece of my heart this year, but has left a permanent mark in my heart for you. I missed us exchanging birthday wishes this year but just know my thoughts were with you on your special day. You are loved by so many my brother, and will definitely be missed. Your legacy will live on through your children.
