Uncle Bob always made me laugh, or at least smile. I have memories dating back over 50 years, in recent years these being our sporadic, but continuing e-mail messages. Years would pass between visits, distance & family obligations being what they are, but every time we'd meet at some family get together, he'd recount how I sucker punched him in the gut when I was 5 or 6. I'll miss hearing that story now, but I won't forget it. And I'm sure he didn't really have it coming to him, which was always my rejoinder

To a Wonderful Brother-in-Law.
When I told Joe of his passing, he looked very sad and said "you know I got along with him very well", and that goes for the rest of our family. Bob was great to talk to - he was so knowledgeable about so many subjects but always managed, with his great sense of humor, to keep it light. We will miss him and pray for my sister, Jeannie, that she find comfort in the peaceful way he left us. Rest in Peace Brother Bob.

Robert Bufe to me, is my Uncle Bob! There's just not enough space here for me to write what I would like. I am so so sorry to hear of his passing and I am so sorry for Aunt Jeannie. They, she, knows how much I love them and how important they are to me, as a child growing up, as a young mother and them meeting my three boys who feel in love with them as much as I do. I used to go spend summers with my Aunt and Uncle as a small child and always had so much fun. I remember Uncle Bob's smile and his wonderful laugh and how loving he was to his family. He and my boys were like they knew each other for ever and he along with other Uncles, taught them how to play poker. I hadn't seen my Uncle in a long time, but I am missing him very much right now. He was a GREAT MAN! Rest in peace Uncle Bob....I love you very much...Linda Sue
