I worked as secretary for Bob Farrell years ago. He was a wonderful boss. When my daughter had a terrible accident, he filled in for me many times so I could be at my daughter's side at the hospital. I was always thankful for that. Bob and Marilyn were wonderful decent people. I remember him standing in the hall as the children came into school. He was a caring Principal.
The world has lost two wonderful human beings. They will be missed.

My name is Linda Spina and I student taught in Voorheesville under the administration of Robert Farrell. Mr. Farrell hired me right after the completion of my student teaching under the supervision of Cindy Wright, second grade. I always had a very professional and fondly personal relationship with him. We shared the same birthday on Dec. 3, which was a bond that lead to many other shared activities. He was a true leader of "the humanities "in our school district and I am sure many of the students who participated in the yearly class plays will thank him for the experiences they had in the theatrical arts. I went on to teach in Voorheesville Elementary School for 32 years. Your father always encouraged and mentored me during my first years of teaching. I am now retiried and look back fondly on the warmth and opportunities that Voorheesville Elementary School provided and still provides for it's students, families and staff today.

My name is Debbie Gall and my very first teaching job was in Voorheesville Elementary School in 1978 under your father. I remember being a very nervous first year teacher and he put me at ease. I remember him being a genuine man who was kind. I wanted you to know that after all these years of teaching I still remember him fondly.

John your mom and dad were good friends of my parents and spent lots of time at our house. They were super people and I'm glad I got to know them. My mom and dad will miss them. Our thoughts are with you Christine, Matthew and Meaghan.

Jim and I have many fond memories of both Marilyn and Bob. They were both wonderful people and much loved in the community. Jim has missed his ol golfing buddy!
