My parents were Bobs second parents. They and Bob told me so many tales about them constantly teasing each other and having g a whole bunch of fun. As a little kid on 58th street; I remember meeting his girlfriend; Elaine. I thought my cousin really picked a prize. . On Beecher Rd in North Babylon, Bob visited often circa 1955-1965. Even our neighbors got to know Bob. Great memories.

Dear Jon.
I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I have nothing but fond memories of him. He taught me how to shoot cans in back of your house and how to look at rocks, trees, and the like. He really was my first and lasting introduction to the beauty and gift of nature. I have nothing but fond memories of going to your house as a kid, and I know a lot of that was because of him.
His gift of service to the Averill Park firehouse can never be repaid. Please give my regards to your family and know that they are all in my thoughts and prayers. If you would like to reach out, I am available. Peace and prayers, Paul Butler
