My deepest sympathy to Ruth's family. However, I wish to make a tribute to Ruth and Stanley. My memories of them are as one. I know of few things in this life more beautiful and precious to leave to children, friends, and neighbors... Proudly, I consider myself one for our lives intersected often and Ruth and Stanley where always there at very
important times in my life. I am Fran Shorkey's nephew and Hal's cousin.
I remember a winter's night long ago when Fran's beautiful neighbors called me to her house...Ruth & Stanley, Helen & Mr. Mack, Dottie,...
they came together for
a surprise mortgage burning party for Aunt Fran. Hal flew home from Rhode Island as an extra surprise... Can we even Imagine neighbors like that today?! Maybe as they say it was a simpler time,I don't know, but I am humbled by the acts of generosity and love over the years given to my beloved Aunt Fran and Hal. Thank you. Thank you... I can still see Ruth seated in Frannie's humble livingroom. That's what's truly important in life...to give to others. May God Bless Ruth and her family always. Namaste.
