Ruth Goldbaum

Goldbaum, Ruth ALBANY, N.Y. Ruth Dunn Goldbaum, age 85, of the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home formerly of the Avila Retirement Community, died Friday morning, September 26, 2008 at the nursing home. Ruth was born in Albany and was a lifelong Capital District resident. She had been employed by the NYS Unemployment Insurance Division. She had been the past president of the Blue Creek Garden Club and enjoyed traveling. She was a member of Temple Beth El in Troy and the Independent Benevolent Society in Albany. She is survived by her husband, Stanley Goldbaum; two daughters, Dr. Beth Goldbaum and her husband Dr. Jerome Ackerman of Newton, Mass. and Karen Treiger and her husband Dr. Brent Treiger of Las Altos, Calif.; sister of Lillian (Chuck) Jacobs of Albany; grandmother of Rachel and Daniel Ackerman and Alex and Jacqueline Treiger. She was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Luria. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue, Albany on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Independent Benevolent Cemetery in Guilderland, N.Y.
