Sherice Mackey

Mackey, Sherice ALBANY Sherice Elizabeth Mackey, 46 of Albany, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Albany Memorial Hospital. Sherice was born in Albany on September 6, 1975, to her parents, Juan and Sharron Mackey. She graduated from Open Bible Baptist School in Colonie in 1994. Sherice was affectionately known by family and close friends as "Reese," a nickname she received as a child from her Aunt Kimberly Lyons. Sherice had a gentle spirit and disposition, and she was a loving, thoughtful, caring and giving daughter, sister, cousin, niece, mother and friend. Sherice enjoyed playing and watching basketball, shopping, traveling and amateur photography. Sherice Mackey was predeceased by her mother, Sharron Mackey; her grandfather, Joseph Mackey; and her grandmothers, Elizabeth Johnakin and Maryetta Mackey. She is survived by her father, Juan Mackey (Ann); her son, Jordan Mackey; sister, Nyrée Preiser; brother-in-law, Arthur Preiser; her nephews, Marcus and Malcolm Preiser; her boyfriend and fiancé Robert Maikels Jr.; her aunts, Pamela Adams and Kimberly Lyons; her cousins, Meeka Johnakin, Isaiah Johnakin, Amber Johnakin, Tiffany Adams, Brandon Adams, Sonya Hall, Aaron Hall, Akai Hall, Danielle Monique and Antoinette Mackey and a host of cousins and other relatives. The funeral service will be on Friday, September 24, in the Agape Apostolic Church of Deliverance, 1010 Madison Ave., Troy. Viewing is from 10 - 11 a.m. and the service is from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
