Stanley Dembrosky Obituary

Dembrosky, Jr., Stanley B.
LOUDONVILLE - Stanley B. "Butch" Dembrosky, Jr., 68, passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at St. Peter's Hospice Inn, in Albany. Born in Troy, N.Y., on October 15, 1955, he was son of the late Stanley B. Dembrosky, Sr. and Ruth Frost Connor. Stanley was raised in South Troy and was a 1974 graduate of Troy High School, where he focused on vocational machinist studies and played football. He continued his education at Hudson Valley Community College. Stanley's first employment was with Cardish Machine Works in Maplewood, N.Y. and later went to work for the D&H Railroad, eventually taking employment with Amtrak as a machinist. He became a mechanical supervisor in 1984 and retired from that position in 2015. While employed with Amtrak Stanley served as a Union Representative with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union (IAM) Local 838. He also served in the Union as Representative for Supervisors, Financial Secretary and Environmental BEDC Supervisor. In his retirement years, Stanley enjoyed tending to his home, spending time with his family and friends, his dog Ramsey and visiting the Saratoga Racetrack during the racing season. He is survived by his loving sister, Ruth "Sissy" (Dembrosky) Wright (late husband Thomas); his nephews, Mike (Kimberly) Wright and Glen Wright; his grandniece and grandnephew, Tommy and Elizabeth Wright; his cousin, Peter Dombroski; and his good friends, Dan Clark and Joseph Farenkoff. A funeral service will be celebrated for Stanley on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet. The Rite of Committal and interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Friends are invited to attend and may also visit with Stanley's family on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 4 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rest In Peace my good friend. I am writing this as the tears run down my eyes. We had a lot of fun times and memories all the way to then. You were always trying to teach me things while working around your house together which I will always remember even tho I was taking a lot of breaks. I will see u in heaven someday and try not to interrupt you while your talking as you used to get so mad as I was laughing.

Stanley was a good kid to hang out with. We had a lot of fun at his house sneaking overnights there. I´ve always wondered what became with him. I´m glad you had a good life. Sorry to hear that Ruth´s husband died. And now her brother. I wil pray for her. Wish I could have met up with him in our adult lives. May he enjoy his new life in Heaven. Tim Gabriel

Dembrosky Family: heartfelt condolences in the passing of Stan. He was a funny, caring, jokester, solid union guy and a bit mischievous on occasions. We worked together over 25 years when he decided to retire and start a new chapter. May he rest in peace. Sympathy and prayers,

Stan was one of my favorite supervisors at Amtrak. We shared a Polish heritage and a love for Polish food (Krakuska kielbasa). Stan had a great sense of humor, and I will always remember him with a smile.
