Susan Yearing Obituary

Yearing, Susan L. SLINGERLANDS Susan L. Yearing, 70, of Slingerlands, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 at her residence following an illness. She was born in Montvale, N.J., the daughter of William and Dorothy Roche Brother-ston. Susan has resided in the Slinger-lands area since 2008. She was employed as a purchasing agent for various companies, including Diagnostic Retrieval Systems, Inc. in New Jersey. She is survived by her loving partner of 30 years, Thomas Ashmore of Slingerlands; her stepdaughters, Florence (David) Izzo of Northport, Michelle (Gregory) Thomas of Latham and Cindy (Caleb Roepe) Ashmore of Somers. Susan is also survived by her grandchildren, Lauren, Thomas, Michael, Brooke, Morgan and Brennan and by her brother, Bruce Brotherston of Parkridge, N.J. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Memorial Processing Center, 6725 Lyons St., P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057-0007 in memory of Susan. I had the pleasure of meeting Sue about a year ago when she enrolled in a study at CCA. I was blessed to have known Sue, even for such a short time. I looked forward to the laughter she would fill the room with. She will be missed.
