Thomas Conlin Obituary

Conlin, Thomas E. Sr. COLONIE Thomas Edward Conlin Sr. died on Sunday, May 16, 2010. He was born on September 30, 1926, and was the son of the late Lillian Beebe and Harold Conlin. Tom was very proud to have served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is the beloved husband of 63 years to Joan White Conlin and their three devoted children, Kathleen (Charles) Harrington of Watervliet, Susan (Frank) Coraldi of Wilmington, N.C. and Thomas E. (Toni) Conlin Jr. of Latham. He is the loving brother of Etta Gray, Edward, Ted and Chester Beebe, Carolyn (Michael) Clith-erow and the late Joan Conlin Lapishka and Joseph and James Beebe. Tom is the cherished grandfather of eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, born on May 15, 2010. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and all of the family he loved very much. In addition to his parents and siblings, Tom was predeceased by his grandson, Robert J. Hanley. Funeral services will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, Tom's family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Patriot Flight, Inc., 740 Hoosick Rd., Box 4260, Troy, NY 12180 in memory of Thomas E. My name if Bill Peak founder of the Patriot Flight Inc, now retired want to express my sympathy on the death of Tom. I cannot say that I remember him on one of our flights there are just too many for me to remember. At near 86 I do not remember like the old days. I am pleased he got to Washington to see the Memorial and that we were able to get him there.

uncle tom will always be remembered by the kids for calling them not by their name but by his own names for them. austin=adam, sarah=sam, nate=meatball. we love you uncle tom, you are always in our hearts.
