I'm very sorry this is so late in coming but I just wanted to say that I was very sorry to hear about Mr. Forte's passing. I had the opportunity to talk with him a few times and ask how Mary Theresa was doing? Mary Theresa and I went to grammar school together at Cathedral. Mr. Forte remembered me and would always take the time to talk and reminisce about the good old days living in the south end. He talked proudly about his children and their accomplishments He was such a kind man and I'm so glad I had the pleasure of bumping into him those few times. Again, I'm very sorry for your loss.

Mickey and Family

We were dismayed to read(only this am) of Vince's passing. I spoke with him on the phone only a few weeks ago and he was coming to visit our new gallery. No mention of any illness.

He was a gentle man, a good friend and we will miss him.

His artistic talent was appreciated by many, his friendship is what we will always remember.

God Bless You and your family...

Dear Mickey, Mary, Vince, Mike, Joey , Zia Emma and family,

I wish I could be with you during this difficult and painful time. Part of me is angry that God has decided to take our Vincent, especially since his work was not complete. But then I thought that maybe now it is up to us to continue to spread his love for family, history, art and culture. My memories of Vincent are few but so very cherished. I remember when he told me that he was upset and angry when he found out that Pavorotti left his wife. "How could he do that" were his words. Indicating a strong sense of loyalty and committment to his wife Mickey and family. He told me that he loves his grandchildren so much that it hurts. He told me that he had no idea that love could be so strong; encouraging me to share our daughter Elisa with my parents Nick and Gina because his words - "it makes retirement a blessing". I loved his stories and art work. When he took my husband and I to the park to show us Henry, he did so with such pride that his face shone with passion. Vincent will always remain in our hearts here in Edmonton. For my Albany family in mourning, we love you and hope so much that you take good care of each other, talk, laugh, cry, hug, pray and continue Vincent's legacy. With love, Mary, Don, Elisa Parrottino-Stewart and entire Family in Edmonton

When I visited Joe at the Forte house as a kid, Mr, Forte and the Forte family always made me laugh, feel comfortable, and at home. I will always remember Mr. Forte as making me feel that way.

Dear Micky and family,

We are so saddened by Vince's passing. He was an outstanding person, great husband, father and son -in-law. We are happy at least that we had a chance to see you both and Emma at the wedding party in August and have a few laughs like old times.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very sad time.

Love,

Maria(Rizzo) and Charles Haywood
