Violet W. Mendrysa

Mendrysa, Violet W. CLIFTON PARK Violet W. Mendrysa, age 89, of Clifton Park passed away peacefully on Friday, September 15, 2017. Born in 1928, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Stella Bogdan. She was predeceased by her husband Richard Mendrysa. Violet spent most of her life raising her family. She was a member of the VFW Post 1498 Auxiliary, and a St. Edward's Church in Clifton Park. She is survived by her daughter, Christina (Todd) Stewart; sons, Michael Mendrysa, Mark (Leslea) Mendrysa, and Richard (Martha) Mendrysa; her brother, Dick Bogdan; grandchildren, Ericka, Zoe, and Ryan; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Edward's Church in Clifton Park. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. The family would like to thank Violet's dear friends Ann White and Ann Stay, the OT, ST, and PT at Baptist Health Nursing Home and the staff of the C-Wing at Ellis Hospital for all of the excellent care that they provided her.
