William Kasson Obituary

PRESTON HOLLOW William T. Kasson, 67, of Jonesville Rd., died on Thursday, May 26, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Kasson was born in Cohoes, N.Y. on October 26, 1937, a son of William E. and Agnes Jordan Kasson. Mr. Kasson was a graduate of LaSalle Institute in Troy, N.Y. He worked for the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance for 39 years, retiring in 1995 as a tax technician. He served with the US Navy on active duty from 1956 to 1958. Mr. Kasson is survived by his wife, the former Joanne Korner Kasson, whom he married on August 6, 1988; and daughters, Ericka (Tim) Foley of Niskayuna, N.Y. and Amy (Frank) Kasson-Muzio, Charlton, N.Y.; grandchildren, Miss Rachel, Alexa, Lauren and Kara; sister, Mary Agnes Dame of Rotterdam; brother, Joseph J. Kasson, Albany, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at St. Catherine's Church, Main Street, Middleburgh. Father John Hunter of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. will officiate. Friends may call Monday evening, May 30, 2005 from 4-7 at the Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh, N.Y. Cremation will take place at the Vale Cemetery Crematorium, Schenectady, N.Y. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211.
