Pete and G.A. were delightful people, who we met through their son Tom when he was at Baylor and we were a young married couple in Chattanooga. We had the opportunity to visit and contact them from time to time through the years and always appreciated those opportunities. Both Pete and G.A. will be sorely missed by all who knew them.

I never knew Mr. Lyon, but spent time at the hospice with him at his last few days. He touched my heart and I love his son and know where he got his loving and compassionate ways. I wish i could have known this man.

Mr. Lyon was a gentleman and a pleasure to know. He and my father, Ken Edwards, played tennis together at Cherokee Town Club for many years. My father, who passed away one year ago, was very fond of Pete. In fact, I heard him often refer to him as "Tiger", which was a play on Pete's last name.
I spent many occasions with Mr. Lyon and my father, as Pete was the only life insurance agent my father would deal with. During those meetings, Mr. Lyon was very professional and always complimentary of me and my work- related functions with my father. Mr. Lyon was a positive influence in my life, and I will truly miss him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.
Sincerely,
John Tyler

To all the Family:
Barbara and I were saddened to learn of Pete's death. We had known both Pete and G. A. for many years and loved them both. We know Pete is happy to be reunited with G. A. Please accept our condolences for the loss of your father.

I have known Pete since third-grade. Almost every day I drive by his home where I spent many, many fun hours with his daughter Lizzie. Every time, I think of Pete in the driveway tending to his Fords. Of all the fathers I knew as a child, Pete stands out in my memory as the most handsome and the most kind.
