Benjamin Cunningham Obituary

CUNNINGHAM
Benjamin Christopher Cunningham, 14, went to be with his Heavenly Father on June 29, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL, after a courageous battle with an extended illness. His body will be interred on July 5, 2018 at Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL.
Benjamin was born on October 3, 2003 in Jacksonville, FL, to Tyree Breedon Cunningham and Donald Lee Cunningham. He was homeschooled by his mother, where he developed his innate gift for language and music. Among his many accomplishments, Benjamin completed music theory training with the Juilliard School.
Benjamin's godly character deeply impacts all who know him. His peacefulness, gentleness, strength, and servanthood persisted throughout his entire earthly life – even in time of illness. There is surely no one more loving – and loved -- than Benjamin Cunningham.
Benjamin is survived by his loving parents, Tyree and Lee Cunningham, his siblings, Rebecca (Josh) Boswell, Joseph (Jennifer) Cunningham, Jonathan Cunningham, and Grace Cunningham, his grandparents, Hunt and Sally Cunningham, and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
We are saddened that he has left us for now, but we are comforted in knowing that we will be with him again.

I will miss Benjamin every single day. He was uniquely different. In a world full of noise, fast paced frenzy, stressors and temptations, Ben brought peace and calm, laughter and love...in multitudes. He had a sweetness and an innocence that stood out. Ben was the kind of teen that set examples on a daily basis. During his illness, I continued to be amazed, week after week, month after month, of his unmatched bravery and calmness. I don't know many adults who could have dealt with all that Ben endured, and....he did so with strength and dignity. Ben had a heart of gold, an intense love for his family, and was kind to all. For the rest of my days, Ben will be my Superhero. I have every faith and belief that Ben is now in Heaven with our Heavenly Father, and his loving grandparents. What hope and expectation of the day to come when your loving family will see you again. What a reunion that will be! I love you, sweet Ben. Our goodbye is only temporary. One of my greatest joys has been being your "Aunt". You will continue to be loved and missed every day. May God bless your family here on earth: Lee, Tyree, Rebecca (Josh), Joseph (Jennifer), Jonathan and Grace, and may God give them what they need during this time. You will forever be remembered with great love, sweet Ben!
