Charles Faison Obituary

FAISON Charles C. Faison, 54, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2011. He was a long term employee for Baptist Hospital in downtown Jacksonville. Before beginning his civilian career Mr. Faison served in the United States Navy , and was stationed aboard the USS RANGER, as an operations specialist. An avid fisherman, Charles was happiest when he had salt air in his lungs and a fish on the line. A boat owner for many years, Chuck, enjoyed yearly trips to Islamorada Florida where he loved to fish for Mahi Mahi. Chuck lived life to it's fullest, he traveled frequently and was known to enjoy a tropical vacation any where the fishing was good. Chuck enjoyed people, he was the sort of person that could make any one feel welcomed and at home. Life around Charles was filled with laughter and fun times, his loss will be deeply felt by all who knew him. Mr. Faison was predeceased by his sister, Taffy Faison. He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Williams ; son, Charles Tyler Faison; brother, John Faison ( and wife Debbie); his grandson, Caeson Williams; his husband-in-law Kevin Greer, and the admiral Darlene Greer. There will be a memorial service, to be announced by the family at a later date. Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com

Chuck and family, it was such a shock to learn of Chuck's passing! It literally broke my heart! I hated I lost touch with Chuck and Brother John after Taffy's passing! Chuck was such a special person, anyone who knew him would agree!!
So glad Darlene and her husband stayed family to Chuck! Thats testament to how loved he was!! I grew up with the Faisons in Albany Ga., oh my gosh at the fun we all had together, from Jr high school to adulthood! We had some great welcome home parties when he came home from the navy!! Chuck was so very special!! Can't wait until we are all reunited! It will be a blessed time! My heart goes out to the family, whom I lost touch with, but love you all very , very much!!
