Darlene Jones Obituary

JONES Darlene Faith Jones (nee Cantalupo), 53, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, passed away November 6, 2013. She was born in Pompton Plains, NJ on February 14, 1960 to proud parents Donald Anthony and Carol (nee Hutter) Cantalupo. Darlene is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, William Willa Joseph Jones, Sr.; sons William Joseph Jones, Jr. (Stephanie) and Bradley Daniel Jones; grandson Jax Rylan Jones; parents Donald and Carol; brother Donald Nicholas Cantalupo; and niece Allie Cantalupo. She was preceded in death by infant triplet children Taylor Morgan, Bradley Logan, and Trey Daniel. Darlene was a woman of remarkable personality and compassion. As a nurse, she dedicated her life to the care of others. Those who had the pleasure of knowing this amazing woman will remember the power of her smile and the way kindness and love radiated from her. She will forever be considered a second mother to many of her son s friends, as they all held a piece of her heart. Family and friends will always appreciate having this beautiful woman in their lives. Each time their toes run through the sand of the beach, they will know her presence is with them, as that was her favorite place to be. She has impacted so many lives and will be loved and missed always. At the family s wishes, a private memorial service will be held. They also request that in lieu of flowers, donations in Darlene s name will be accepted by The American Cancer Society, 1430 Prudential Drive, Jacksonville, Florida 32207, for Gallbladder Cancer research and treatment. Thank you so much for your memories. Darlene was a thoughtful and wonderful daughter, wife and mother. Every parent should be blessed with a daughter like Darlene. She is now with her loving grandparents and the triplets she lost. I am sure they "Thank God" for her being there and someday we will all be together.
Thank you all for the memories.

I truly am sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you. Not only did I go to High School with Darlene, she also went to my church in Pompton Plains and was in my confirmation class. We had a blast with Pastor Ziegler. May you cherish the memories.

Darlene and I have been friends since 3rd grade. She was at all my birthday parties, we were girl scouts together and our families vacationed together every summer. We started our careers as nursing assistants in a local nursing home. She always had a smile on her face and a practical answer or solution to any difficult challenge or problem. My heart goes out to the Cantalupo and Jones families.
