I will never forget Doug taking the time to cheer me up during my illness when he was fighting his own personal battles. He inspired me during my time of need. Doug will sorely be missed by all who were privileged to know him.

Few people in a lifetime leave the footprint that Doug Carroll leaves. A work associate, his overwhelming joy for life, optimism, and positive attitude was such that he was a person that inspired you to want to be better. I last saw Doug at Circle of Excellence in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in February of 2006, as I only might see him once a year, we had some catching up to do. I shared a comical experience of my husband's recent walk down the aisle with our only daughter (and only child), he listened intently and with a twinkle in his eye. We talked about how hard it is when our children grow up and move away. He said "I don't want to let my little girl go, but when that day comes, I will be honored and proud to take that walk with her" He spoke like it didn't matter if it would be next year or 10 years from now, he would be taking that walk. That was Doug, so optimistic. So it seems we take so many of these life events for granted, but indeed they are gifts, precious gifts. So here's to you Doug - you have given the most precious gift there is, to your family, your strength, courage, optimism, and love and no-one can take that away from them and we are all better people for having known you. I know that sometime when perhaps life gets us down, we will feel your presence, if only to get behind us and give us a nudge forward. God Bless you and your family. With much love and respect,

We were all so blessed to know your wonderful husband and dad, Doug. His life was filled with happiness and joy, and it was contagious. No matter how he was doing, he just loved life. We could tell that the most important thing to him was his family and his strong faith and values. Doug had an amazing gift for sharing his happiness and thankfulness, and he could write a book on raising wonderful children. I'm so glad he touched our lives as a neighbor & friend. I knew Doug in high school and even then you just knew there was something special in him. Doug was always kind and helpful. He was a great friend. Doug always had a positive outlook on life. I can see that his family learned from his example and what a testament that is to him.

It is important that we remember why we were placed here. God has placed within all of us a destiny even before the world was framed. We have been chosen to be lights that shine for our Lord. No light has shined brighter throughout Aegis Funding, than the light of the Lord through Doug Carroll. The bible charges us to, "go ye therefore and to teach all nations." Doug has taught me the meaning of humility, strength, courage, sacrifice, and most of all, how to let go and let God. He was truly an inspiration from my first meeting with him until the final farewell. I sincerely believe he was properly groomed and ready to meet our savior. I can almost hear God saying to Doug, "WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT."
I praise and thank God for allowing me the opportunity to know Doug Carroll and would ask that all who read this message to either start, or continue their walk with God in order to be received by God, and to see our dear brother once again.

Doug was just a wonderful person, always smiling and such a pleasure to be around. I see so much of him in his two beautiful children, Whitney and Jordan. And, I will always remember fondly his love of cars! You may have only had a 2 car garage, but that didn't stop him from having a new toy around!!! It has been said that our time on earth is the small dash between our birth date and our death date. Doug's dash may have been short in length of time but long in the amount of lives he touched and loved. I am so touched to read an entry from his son Jordan and how proud he was of the family his dad and mom raised. What a great tribute to a man that adored his family. I worked with Doug and saw him two times a year. When I last saw Doug at the Feb 2006 Circle of Excellence trip in Cabo, I believed it would be the last time I hugged him. I am so grateful to have shared time with Doug. I hope that Ralene, Whitney, Jordan and family can find some comfort in the loving memories of a great man and to know so many people loved his positive energy and big smile.

What a pleasure it was to work with Doug personally. He was a person of great enthusiasm and whenever he would come to Houston he would just add that great burst of excitement into the office. I am most thankful that I got to see Doug again by coming to work for Aegis in Florida. Doug will always remain a sweet memory in my heart and mind and will be missed deeply. We all can now rejoice for Doug is in a much better place with no more pain, sickness, nor sorrow. My prayers go out to the family. My God continue to bless you all.

When I met Doug with you Ralene, I liked him and thought now here is someone that deserves this incredible woman. As a husband and then father, he was the ultimate rolemodel. He was so warm and his positive attitude was contagious. I liked that he sat and talked with us, not off doing his thing. He liked people and wanted them to know it. He waits for us in that place God had prepared. Jesus precious blood was shed that we as believers might have this eternal life. Doug is receiving this free gift. Over the last several years we did not get many opportunities to just hang out and talk, but every time we did it was just like we had never had been apart. All the times we did get together, I so much enjoyed our deep laughter and the memories we shared. Though we got to cut up and have such great times together I really never got the chance to tell you how much impact you had on my life. You know how I was growing up, I had to learn everything the hard way. You were so passionate about everything you did that it finally rubbed off on me. I credit you for helping me grow up and realize that there is more to life than just having fun. I will never forget what I have learned from you and will always cherish the time we had together.

I met Doug in Cabo last year and had worked with him in the past with accounts, and I never met a nicer, kinder, or more helpful guy. I started to watch how he got results with his style and how people loved him and I must admit I loved him as well. His life and his career are something we all should aspire to. I know his family meant the world to him and I know that everyday he demonstarted what a man should be. I offer my thoughts and prayers to his family and hope a little bit of him rubbed off on me. Doug Carroll will remain in my thoughts for the rest of my life. In our world if you have the opportunity to meet a person such as Doug you truly should consider yourself blessed. I admire Doug for many reason, he was an incredible RVP, his ability to manage his AE’s regardless of his trying situation, truly amazed me. Doug faced each day with a tremendous amount of determination, dedication and desire to make a difference no matter what he was facing and always with a smile on his face. I will always speak of Doug with kind words as he so many times would do the same for many people. He is a true inspiration for me and he has made a difference in my ever day thinking. I will speak of Doug in my everyday lesson in life, as I have never met a person who had such a positive attitude and a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and passion to be the best at all that he did. I once asked Doug how he had managed to raise a teenage son who stayed out of trouble. He did not offer any fatherly advice or boast of any keen parenting skills, but rather he praised his son for wanting to spend time with HIM on their boat. His children had obviously made a huge impression on him and, from the words written in his obituary, it is very obvious that HE made an unforgettable impression on many people as well.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Doug for some time at Aegis and he was truely an inspiring man. I cannot think of another person who walked so prevatently on the positive side of everything.
