Eddie was my Uncle. Although I didn't get to spend as much time as I would of liked to, the time I did spend with him, I remember that he always made me laugh. My Dad, was his brother Frank, who talked very well about Uncle Eddie. He always said, "Eddie is a Man of integrity, with a passion for life." He will be in my Thoughts and My Heart Always. Mary,
My heartfelt sympathies. You were a wonderful partner for Eddie and I enjoyed getting to know you. I'm sorry I was unable to attend the memorial service because I was out of town. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Eddie Helow was my uncle. Whom I loved very much. Although we didn't see each other often I always felt a special connection with him. He was the best of the Helow's (except for my father, of course) and had a quality about him that no one could resist. He will be missed, but never forgotten and it was a wonderful honor to be his niece and a piece of his family. God Bless Mary, who took such good care of him for so many years..we love you. Eddie was my barber for 30 years. I always looked forward to seeing Eddie in the old Gulf Life Tower shop and in his new shop across the driveway. He was always smiles and most pleasant to be around. He loved to tell jokes! He had many customers who appreciated him like I did, one who flew from Miami to get a haircut.
I encouraged him to apply for the Guiness Book of Records as the longest practicing barber in the world.
Eddie will be missed!
