Isabel W. Hollis

HOLLIS Isabel W. Hollis, 83, passed away February 14, 2008. She was born September 5, 1924 in Homerville, Georgia to John Sims and Russie Daye Watkins. Mrs. Hollis was a wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and member of the Murray Hill United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hollis is survived by her husband of 61 years, Marvin Hollis; daughter, Jan Mathis of Middleburg; brother, Fennis Watkins (Opal) of Jacksonville; sister, Ruth Kizziah (Gene) of Burlington, NC; grandchildren, Jeremy and Cody Mathis of Middleburg; sister-in-laws, Polly Watkins of Jacksonville and Inga Watkins of Savannah, GA. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Edwin Mathis. Visitation for Mrs. Hollis will be 6-8:00 p.m., Sunday, February 17, 2008 at the Hardage Giddens Funeral Home, Edgewood Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Hardage Giddens Funeral Home, Edgewood Chapel with Dr. Nate Boles and Reverend Robert Long officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Northeast Florida or to the Murray Hill United Methodist Church.
